July Happenings
Hello everyone, hope
you had a wonderful month! I know we did here at the Chamber, busy but
great! The 4th Annual Car & Bike Show had such a fantastic
turn out. A special thanks to the Mall of the Mainland for sponsoring the
Cruise-In on Friday, the “Camaro Kid” & Red Sky Photography for taking
the time to get some great shots of the Cruise-In and the Car & Bike
Show, and to all of our sponsors, vendors, spectators, and our 2010
Committee. We could not do it without you. The pictures are all uploaded
and ready to view on Photobucket, and the Chamber Facebook! We also have a few videos you can check out on our YouTube account.

REMINDER: There will be no Women In Business Luncheon
this month! Due to the fact it falls on the week of the 4th
of July weekend, we figured it would be best to skip it. We will be right
back on track the first Thursday of August.

Anniversary! They will be
graciously returning to 1985 prices all day in honor of the event, as well
as opening & closing an hour earlier/later. Free hot dogs & coke
from 11-12:30, Brain Freeze contest at 4PM.

State Representative Larry Taylor. The Spotlight Table will feature Patti
Abschneider of OccMed Solutions at Mainland Medical, and our lunch will be
prepared by Dwight Sullivan, candidate for Galveston County Clerk and
Galveston County Treasurer, Kevin Walsh.

Higgs Family Dental Open
House! 13125 Hwy. 6 - Effective
June, 7th 2010, Higgs Family Dental formally known as Stanley A. Higgs, D.D.S., Inc.,
have
received a DBA and will from now on be known as Higgs Family
Dental in honor of their daughter, Lisa Higgs joining the
practice. To welcome Lisa, and share new information on their practice,
the Higgs Family will be hosting an Open House. Lunch will be
provided.
